I have a friend that developed PF related to high acidity in his body which was alternatively affecting his tendon strength and flexibility. He cured the high acidity with a supplement-- Greens + -- and subsequently, his PF cleared up! You may have high acidity if you often get mouth cankers.
Also another recommendation by the doc for me is to stretch your calf muscle. This is really where the problem is, it just resonates in the muscle on the bottom of your foot. I have been diagnosed with it and have been stretching it before getting up in the morning. It does help but I hope it will go away soon.
There are also other treatments available such as a brace to wear at night. I wonder if these help? Anyone try this type of brace?

I have used a night brace which helps to keep everything stretched out while you sleep.
