Several years ago my son got an eye infection. The white part of his right eye was pink.
He was crying and complained that his eye was itching and burning. The eye was inflammed.

My mother was visiting us at the time and she said she new exactly what it was. It was pink eye
and she had a cure for it.

She got a black tea bag from the kitchen and wet it with warm water and put it on my son's eyelid
with his eyes closed for a few minutes. It seemed to calm the chils and the inflammation seemed to have diminished.
We repeated the same process several times during the day.

The next morning the my son's eye was better, still a little pink but better. So we repeated the process just
once during the day and evening. By the third day the pink eye was no more.
